It’s no secret that big data and data-driven strategy is part of everyday life for all of us, affecting everything from the coupons and offers we receive in our inboxes to our social media habits to the way we vote each election cycle. You don’t have to be a geek to appreciate the value big data has in the tech industry; the number of offline applications that rely on big data is staggering. We might need help from hardware and software to crunch through the data in a meaningful way, but human-generated data remains a part of our lives, even if we don’t always see it.
