Flexible Dashboards in Minutes, Not Weeks
When a new customer begins working with Lightning AI, Colette’s team builds them a custom dashboard within minutes that becomes embedded within Lightning AI’s application. They start with a default Sisense for Cloud Data Teams dashboard, link in the customer’s various data sources and match the relevant filters for their ad accounts. Each customer can then instantly search and navigate through their own data in a familiar UI without having to jump to other applications.
“Instead of getting back to them a month after on-boarding with visuals of their data, we can show it to them right away, directly within our product. It’s a nice moment of happiness that they can have access to those visuals really quickly,” says Colette.
In terms of cost savings, Colette estimates that without Sisense for Cloud Data Teams, the costs required to develop a dashboard with pivot table capabilities, search functions, and other features and customizations would have required an investment of at least six figures ($100k+), including expenses, and the valuable time the project would take away from her engineering team.

Valuable Data Access & Sharing for Customers
For many customers, the combination of Lightning AI and Sisense for Cloud Data Teams gives them unique access to their marketing data that previously couldn’t be aggregated. Colette says many companies they work with have internal business intelligence systems, but those systems aren’t often connected to marketing data at the spend level. In those cases, Lightning AI connects to their data in Sisense for Cloud Data Teams by exposing an API endpoint, allowing Lightning AI to be the single source of truth for that marketing data.
In other cases, Sisense for Cloud Data Teams exposure to pivot tables helps her non-technical customers search and explore their data easily. “As a data analyst in the past, I didn’t think adding pivot tables would be that valuable,” says Colette. “But as a business leader, we’re selling our product to customers who often don’t write in SQL, so we get a ton of value from Sisense for Cloud Data Teams just by allowing them to access their data on terms that are familiar to them.”
As the business grows, Colette knows the potential for working more with Sisense for Cloud Data Teams will increase. She plans to take advantage of new embedding functionality to share data via email and dig deeper into other integrations as well to make the most of their customers’ data.
