Commercial Counsel (Part Time Contract)

As a member of the Legal team, you will support the Sisense business by partnering closely with our internal teams, including our Engineering, Product, Security, Marketing, and People Teams, to provide strategic and legal advice on commercial agreements.

In this role, you will be the frontline attorney negotiating SaaS and other commercial agreements worldwide.

This is a contract position requiring availability for approximately 10 hours per week for an expected duration of 4-6 months. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to software licenses, SaaS, partnerships, professional services, consulting, marketing and vendor agreements
  • Advise internal teams on legal matters related to commercial transactions, including contract interpretation, risk assessment, and compliance with applicable laws
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and provide strategic legal advice to support their commercial initiatives\
  • Assist with other legal projects and initiatives as needed

WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED… SO FAR:

  • You have a JD or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. state.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on commercial contract negotiations.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You’ve demonstrated intellectual curiosity and willingness to grow as a person and professional by seeking out new challenges.
  • You’ve developed great partnerships with client leadership and are viewed as a trusted legal advisor and business partner.
  • You’ve mastered complex commercial contract negotiations and are comfortable with smart risk taking.
  • You are able to work autonomously, but are able to work well with others.

CO Posting: The pay range for candidates located in Colorado is $100-180 (/hr). The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to market location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, experience and training, education, skill sets, and other business and organizational needs. A bonus, equity, commissions, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity. The disclosed salary range represents an estimate of the base compensation for candidates who can or will be located in Colorado. This range may vary with respect to candidates whose primary work location is outside those jurisdictions.
