This quarter’s updates help teams build tailored analytics faster with the launch of Sisense Intelligence and a wave of AI-powered tools. Explore new features for smarter dashboard design and enriched data models, to bring even more flexibility to your workflows.
This quarter, we focused on helping product and engineering teams build analytics faster and deliver more value to end users. From launching our unified suite of AI capabilities, called Sisense Intelligence, to semantic enrichment, to refining how dashboards are created and embedded, Q2’s updates reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation that’s practical, scalable, and developer-friendly.
In this post, we’ll highlight the launch of Sisense Intelligence, the assistant’s public preview, and several new capabilities that support faster creation, deeper insight, and more flexible embedded experiences.
Introducing Sisense Intelligence: AI that builds with you
On May 28, we launched Sisense Intelligence, a major expansion of our AI capabilities and a leap forward in how teams build, explore, and embed analytics.
Sisense Intelligence is a unified suite of AI-powered features that bring speed, simplicity, and scalability to every layer of the analytics workflow. Whether you’re embedding dashboards, building with Compose SDK, or helping non-technical users find answers, these tools are designed to accelerate both creation and insight delivery.
Key highlights include:
- Assistant: An AI-first interface that lets anyone build analytics workflows with natural language.
- Narrative: Gen-AI summaries for charts and graphs that explain dashboards in plain language.
- Forecast, trend, and explanation: Tools to surface insights, trends, and drivers in your data.
- GenAI-embedded components: Easily embed widgets and dashboards with SDK support for React, Angular, and Vue.
Together, these tools represent a strategic step toward AnPaaS (Analytics Platform as a Service), helping builders create smarter experiences faster while meeting enterprise demands for governance and scale. We hope you’ll come to see Sisense Intelligence as your go-to solution for AI-first analytics. Learn more about Sisense Intelligence in our dedicated blog post, or on our site.
With that launch as context, let’s dive into the most impactful product updates from Q2. We’ve grouped them by release stage to help you navigate what’s GA, what’s available to try, and what’s coming soon.
Available to try now (beta, manual enablement)
Semantic enrichment for data models
What “semantic enrichment” means: we’re using AI to improve the effectiveness of AI. The new semantic enrichment feature analyzes your data model and automatically generates descriptions for tables and columns.
That metadata improves how the assistant interacts with your models, helping it understand what each field represents and return better, more relevant responses. It also helps human users (yes, you!), especially those new to a dataset, navigate and work with your data more confidently.
This is an enhancement with a big impact. When your model is enriched, everyone benefits.
Navigation UI
For customers who want early access, the Sisense platform has a new look. A redesigned UI layout is now available in beta can be enabled via toggle. This updated navigation replaces tabs with a vertical sidebar, offering a cleaner, more modern experience that better aligns with how teams work today.
This redesign is part of a broader effort to streamline workflows across the platform. If you’d like to explore the new UI before it becomes more widely available, reach out to your account team to request access.
Compose SDK mode for dashboard design
If you’re embedding dashboards with Compose SDK, a new dashboard design mode is now available to help you build faster and with fewer friction points.
This mode can be enabled via toggle and provides in-platform guidance to ensure dashboards are structured in a way that’s fully compatible with Compose SDK. It also includes an editable layout preview, so you can design and refine your embedded experience directly within the builder.
This update supports smoother handoffs between designers and developers and helps reduce rework, especially valuable when you’re moving fast or collaborating across teams.
The leading Analytics Platform as a Service, evolving with you
As you can see from this quarter’s updates, we’re continually enhancing the Sisense platform, transforming it into a next-gen Analytics Platform as a Service(AnPaaS).
AnPaaS is our vision for a modular, developer-friendly platform that lets you build, scale, and customize analytics into your product, on your terms. That vision has been recognized by S&P Global Market Intelligence as the platform model that helps teams move faster and deliver AI-powered experiences at scale.
With AI woven throughout the Sisense analytics platform, greater control over dashboard design, and a modern, flexible architecture, we’re making it easier for teams to deliver value faster without compromising on security or governance.
From embedding GenAI components with Compose SDK to enriching your semantic layer with machine learning, every update brings us closer to a platform built not just for insights, but for innovation.
Looking ahead to Q3
We’re already building what’s next. In Q3, you can expect more from Sisense Intelligence, including enhancements to the assistant and early progress toward a Sisense-managed LLM service. You’ll also see continued improvements to dashboard editing and analytics workflows that support faster delivery with less overhead.
